Chilly Chickadee

I do enjoy painting birds, especially in the snow.  I like the loose and impressionistic backgrounds, that snowy backgrounds seem to fit so well,  to showcase the birds.  I don't see snow much down here in Florida, but have such fond memories of waking up and seeing a beautiful view of trees in the fresh fallen snow from my bedroom window, when I was growing up in Nashville.  I think these paintings remind me of that time and the joy I felt as only a child can.  This painting is framed and ready for hanging.
